Our library features over 6,000 items on family research, including family and local histories, "how-to" books, periodicals, topographical and historical maps, family history files, microfilm, microfiche, digital databases and more.The Library Chair enhances genealogical research by managing and improving the branch's library resources. Position Summary
The Library Chair is pivotal in managing the AGS Edmonton's library resources. This position involves leading the library committee, maintaining the library's inventory of books, periodicals, and online subscriptions, and ensuring compliance with the Library Collection Policy. The Library Chair also fosters communication between the library committee and volunteers, recruits and schedules volunteer staff, and recommends improvements to library operations.
