Most popular family story is he disappeared during gold rush sometime after 1901, last seen on a river. Other version is he died on Fraser River building railroad. HANSEN/SPICER famalies. I am trying to find any information about my Grandparents, Ludwig Hansen and Myrtle (Spicer)Hansen that homesteaded in Tawatinaw, Alberta in the 1920’s or 1930’s. Ludwig Hansen immagrated from Norway, was a carpenter and worked for the Westlock school District as a janitor or handyman. He immigrated with one or more brothers, Karl and/or Harold Hansen. Myrtle Hansen (Spicer) came from one of the Dakotas and had a sister named Ida or Ada. Ludwig and Myrtle had one daughter, Lorraine, and is now living in St. Albert, Alberta and an adopted son, Ken, who is married to Shirley Hansen (nee Wilson of Dapp, Alberta).
