She was 19 and single but gave the baby's father name as Peter Joyce Deceased. The baby was baptised Catholic. This is a long shot...
My Grandfather was named Walter Carr, and had lived most of his life in Leeds, Yorkshire, united Kingdom. Last address.. Barkly Street, Leeds.
My Grandmother was called Ada ( nee. Clifford ) They had two children.. Doreen and Derek.
My Grandfather had a brother who sadly, I never met, named Ernest Carr.
Ernest emigrated to Calgary, Canada. (I think Edmonston ) in the early 1900's
I believe that he firstly worked on cattle ranches, before owning his own land . He married and had family, but sadly, I am not in contact with them. I remember Ada recieving Air mail from the family keeping her informed of family developments.
Best wishes to all,
Bob Carr ( England )

Further to an inquiry of my grandmother who was left on a street in Edmonton the date seems morelikely to be in the late 1880's to early 1900. She told me a story of a child falling into a pig pen and getting badly bitten on the neck and had to be carried around on a pillow. This would have happened in the surrounding areas of Edmonton. We assume that this was her half sister. Does anyone remember such a tale?????

Around 1880 my grandmother was left on a streetcorner in Edmonton, in front of a Dr. Braithwaite's home, she was approximately 6 years old. She either wouldn't or couldn't remember her name, or age. She said that her mother and stepfather drove her and left her with a bag of candy saying they would be back. They never returned. She was hospitalized and later taken in by a family in Lacombe.
