In searching for a "Smith" relative, I came across a residence at 1205 6th Ave Lethbridge in the 1911 Census,. The Head is described as a widow, Elizabeth Blue. There are 5 "patients" all about 20 year old females, 3 of whom, curiously, are named Smith, and 2 babies; one is 1 day old and one is 2 months old.
For those who are searching, maybe this will help. L.S. - Winnipeg

My name is Terry Cox, eldest son of Neil Arvil Cox, who is the only child of my paternal grandparents, Jesse Arvil Cox and Gladys Elizabeth Carmichael. Jesse's roots are in either Minnesota or Michigan (I sort of "half-remember" this-- I was really young when told this, I *think* I remember...), but his parents were original homesteaders, they worked a patch of land near Sedgewick, Alberta. They later lived in Barrhead, then Edmonton. Gladys worked for a number of years at the Griesbach RCAF Base; Jesse was a custodian at Northlands Park.
All three have since passed away, I now have no one to ask for information and/or advice.I know very little about this branch of my family tree and hope to meet my relatives some day. Please send an e-mail message if you can help. Thank you.
